ANTWERP, BELGIUM - The twenty year-old Kimberly Vandevenne from Wontergem in Belgium and Lidi Brouwer, also twenty, from Waddinxveen, were both crowned Princess Model of the Year 2006 on Sunday 24 September.

 
The Princess Night of Lounge’ took place in the Zuiderkroon in Antwerp, where 500 guests enjoyed a special lounge atmosphere in a contest with a real difference.
The 16 contestants, 8 Dutch and 8 Belgian, were presented to the public during a series of rounds featuring highly original film clips and show stopping performances on the catwalk specially created to surround the audience. The ‘Princess Model of the Year 2006’ finalists all appeared in a range of stylish outfits, provided by sponsor Stills.
The show also featured acts by ‘Cirque du Soleil’ (Heracles) and Tom Bibo. The host and presenter for the evening was popular Princess ambassador and entertainer Felice.
For this special double contest, there was a jury from both countries comprising celebrities from the world of showbiz, modelling and fashion.
Sponsor Schwarzkopf Professional was responsible for the models' hair and makeup.

Ultimately, the juries selected Dutch Lidi and Belgian Kimberly as the winners.

Kimberly, a student of journalism, and Lidi who is completing her studies in trade management and already working as a model, will both become the face of Princess. This important role will involve attending trade fairs, product presentations and other major events across the world.
In addition to the title, Princess Model of the year, both winners were awarded the following prizes:

• A superb 18-carat gold necklace set with diamonds and worth 6,500 euro, provided by Gassan Diamonds Amsterdam.

DJ Sven Ornelis was the life and soul of a fantastic after-party. The evening provided even further proof of Princess' well-known motto, Business is Entertainment.
