Princess Caffè Italiano makes its debut in Hong Kong
 
 

HONG KONG - (Hong Kong, August 13, 2008) What would a household appliances manufacturer named Princess do when it launches a new coffee and hot drinks machine in Hong Kong?

The Dutch multinational Princess Household Appliances BV helped local leggy (40 inches, no less!) celebrity model Janice Man Wing-shan to own her dream café.
Mr Aad Ouborg, CEO of Princess Household Appliances, explained: “We think Janice brings a new dimension to our new coffee and hot drinks maker, Princess Caffè Italiano. With the advent of coffee houses in every street corner, the love for caffeine seems to be taking everywhere in Asia by storm. Office workers and the younger crowd simply cannot have enough coffee. We see great opportunities for coffee brewing at home and in the office. Janice epitomizes the young trendsetters of coffee drinkers, and we are very pleased to work with her on this launch.”
In keep with the Princess’ tradition, acclaimed Dutch pianist and composer, Tonny Eyk, one of the brand’s ambassadors, was flown in from the Netherlands to serenade the guests and distributors of Princess from all over the world.
Janice Man said, “I am a regular café-goer. I just love hanging out there with friends, have a coffee and tiramisu. It is so stylish and relaxing.  Running my own café has always been my dream. With Princess Caffè Italiano, I can make coffees, teas and hot chocolate pushing just a few buttons.  Plus, its innovative multi-cassette allows me to create many different types of hot beverages such as floral teas.  Having a Princess Caffè Italiano at home is just like having my own café. “
At the press conference, Janice Man demonstrated the versatility of Princess Caffè Italiano by concocting various drinks with celebrity emcee, former Miss Hong Kong runner-up, Ms Natalie Ng Man-yan. 
Janice created an East-meets-West “crystal rose tea” with dried Chinese rosebuds and English breakfast tea leaves.  Janice put the tea mix into Caffe Italiano’s special multi-cassette, and with a few touches of buttons, the tea flows out from the dispenser bearing a crystal clear golden hue, with a refreshing and relaxing aroma. An ardent believer of Chinese herbs, Janice said, ”Roses are great for ladies because of its well-known beauty and healing properties, and its soothing aroma helps calming me.” She also suggested adding a few Chinese crystal sugars to sweeten the taste.
Then she showed the audience how to make an exquisite 3-layer latte macchiato in two simple steps. First, she made two parts of thick and creamy milk froth and milk with Caffe Italiano’s innovative milk frother. Then she chose the coffee mode to blend the coffee between the froth and milk.
Janice exclaimed that she loves the Princess Caffe Italiano so much that she hopes to own one with her distinguishable features. To make her dream come true, Mr Aad Ouborg presented to Janice a unique Caffe Italiano using 2008 pieces of pink and white Swarovski crystals bearing “JM” characters (Janice Man’s initial) on the sides.
