17 june 2005: CHEF RAMZI NAMED NEW PRINCESS AMBASSADOR
A wonderfully authentic mirror tent at the Wolfslaar estate in Breda was the venue from Wednesday 1 June to Sunday 5 June 2005 for Princess`s very own house show: VIP4VIP, Very Innovative Products for Very Important People.
The trade fair attracted large numbers of business guests from the Netherlands and abroad.
This unique trade fair showcased a variety of brand new product lines, including the Red Line Limited Edition (a superb retro design product range) and the New Classics Line (attractive 50s design style with stunning chrome finish). There was a special launch presentation for the new Princess Crystals from Swarovski beauty products. In addition, a whole range of great marketing campaigns were highlighted at the fair.
A perfect example of these unique campaigns is the "Cas cooks the stars from the sky" promotion. In April 2006 Cas Spijkers, Master Chef of the Century, will - for the very last time - be cooking a delicious dinner for fans of great cuisine in a restaurant that remains a surprise, for now.
One of the real highlights of the event was the appointment of Ramzi Nadim Shwayri as Princess Ambassador for the Middle East and North Africa. Lebanese by birth, Chef Ramzi is already a household name in the Arab world and has starred in as many as 3000 live TV shows. His latest cookbook has so far sold over half a million copies worldwide.
Chef Ramzi`s role will be to promote Princess products in the Middle East. Princess kitchen appliances will be showcased in combination with the Arabic dishes he serves up to viewers in his daily TV show. The Classic Multi Wonder Chef will naturally be given pride of place.
The official contract was signed in the presence of distributors from as far afield as Spain, Poland, Jordan, Lebanon, Norway and Portugal. Princess CEO, Aad Ouborg, was on hand to present Chef Ramzi with the official Ambassador`s chain. The new alliance was then toasted with a delicious glass of Princess champagne while Chef Ramzi was warmly welcomed as the latest member of the great Princess family.
To close the event in true Princess style, Chef Ramzi and Cas Spijkers gave a cookery demonstration as the guests looked on in admiration. Their attention was rewarded with a delicious Arabic delicacy, lovingly prepared by the new ambassador.
