Spectacular opening of Hotel Princess Residenz Bergfrieden
 

SEEFELD, AUSTRIA - After renovation work lasting more than six months, the fantastic Hotel Princess Residenz Bergfrieden in Seefeld in Austria was opened in the presence of many journalists and other invited guests, from 16 to 19 January 2005.

 
Seefeld is the most beautiful village in the Olympic region of Austria and is situated at a height of 1200 metres. This charming little village is a real winter sports paradise, with excellent opportunities for skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, curling and skating. And of course in the summer, too, everyone can have a great time golfing, mountainbiking, walking, playing tennis, rafting and paragliding. There are many restaurants in the historic centre offering great food, and plenty of shopping opportunities as well.
The marvellous Hotel Princess Residenz Bergfrieden is situated opposite the Golf Academy and has nine luxury suites. All the suites can accommodate between 2 and 6 people and have every modern convenience imaginable, such as TV, internet connection, kitchenette and a large balcony. The hotel also has a breakfast room, conference room, playroom, indoor swimming pool, a sauna and Turkish bath, a large garden with a patio and private parking. Naturally there is also room for storing skiing gear.
Princess organised a spectacular four-day event around the opening of Hotel Princess Residenz Bergfrieden, during which the guests were treated to a packed and varied programme of sport, games, entertainment and above all, a real warm winter atmosphere. On Sunday 16 January this year, all the guests took the “Princess Air” flight from Rotterdam Airport to Innsbrück, from where, on arrival, they were taken by stretch limousine to Seefeld.
After a fabulous lunch and a trip through the little village of Seefeld, it was time for the grand opening of Hotel Princess Residenz Bergfrieden. The first day was rounded off with a horse sleigh trip to restaurant Wildmoos where a spectacular fireworks show amazed all guests. After this show the guests where invited to diner with a real Austrian band.
Day two was also an unforgettable day. This was when  “Princess Stars in the Snow” took place under the watchful eye of chief umpire and Princess ambassador Tonny Eyk. The spectacular opening of “Princess Stars in the Snow” was in the capable hands of Princess ambassadors and, for once, real professional paragliders Aron Winter and Felice. During lunch, the guests had the pleasure of seeing a brilliant performance by Belle Perez, who sang her new single, “Sobrevivire”. In the evening it was time for a spectacular party in Die Kanne, at which Bas Muijs & Winston Post, Belle Perez and Stevie J all gave great performances. Muijs & Post presented their new single “Jij”, the proceeds of which will all be donated to the KIKA foundation. This foundation raises funds for the seven children’s cancer centres in the Netherlands. Inge de Bruijn is an ambassador for the foundation and she introduced Muijs & Post at the start of their fantastic performance.
On Tuesday the guests were given the chance to go skiing, cross-country skiing or snowboarding, with professional tuition if necessary. The day was finished with a real Tirol evening featuring, of course, Heidi & Die Heinos. This was also the occasion when Your Votes presented their special Eurovision Song Contest medley, which was recorded to mark the fiftieth anniversary of the competition. The evening was concluded with a spectacular yodelling contest.
Wednesday 19 January was the final day of this dazzling event. After checking out, all the guests enjoyed a fabulous lunch together, during which the press were given the chance of interviewing Your Votes about their new Eurovision Song Contest medley. After lunch, the guests were driven back to Innsbrück, in time for the Princess Air return flight to Rotterdam Airport.
