VIP 4 VIP: Very Interesting Products for Very Important People
From Monday 11 to Thursday 14 June, the Princess VIP 4 VIP trade fair took place in Fort Sint Gertrudis in Geertruidenberg. The trade fair was well attended by a host of national and international Princess relations and artistes.
The main focus of the trade fair was on the various new product lines and the new sales/marketing promotions, including:
“Join Princess at the Winter Efteling on 25 November 2007”, when Princess will be welcoming 16,000 consumers,
“Get 2 free tickets for the Herman Renz Circus”,
and a very special promotion, offering consumers who purchase any of Princess’ funcooking and blender products a free invitation for two people to the largest lunch in the Benelux, featuring the three Princess ambassadors Cas Spijkers, Felice and Tonny Eyk.
The five-star feeling and Dutch Design were also prominent themes. The presentation of the Princess ‘Distributor of the Year’ award added a further festive touch to the occasion. The whole event was given a typical Princess theme: Products of Fame.
In the spotlight
New products received plenty of attention. The spotlight was mainly on: ‘Let’s Cook’ by Jan des Bouvrie, the new grill plate and mini-pancake griddle, ‘Let’s Blender’ by Jan des Bouvrie, the Mini Table Chef, the Princess 4Men Line, the Fry & Keep Warm Castel (unique deep fryer).
In addition, all these products could be admired in the brand new Princess brochure which was festively launched. The brochure’s theme is: Products of Fame with a Dutch look: Dutch Design.
An abundance of stars
Without celebrities there’s no five-star feeling. This is why the four Princess ambassadors were present to add lustre to the event. Cas Spijkers, Tonny Eyk, Felice and Chef Ramzi entertained visitors with their culinary and musical skills. On Friday 15 June and Saturday 16 June, Cas Spijkers, Edwin Kats (Amstel Hotel, restaurant La Rive*) and Maarten Camps (Wolfslaar*) together with Chef Ramzi are going to shoot a special for the Arabic channel FTV (10 million viewers) on cooking with the Princess Multi Wonder Chef and the Princess Table Chef, featuring typically Dutch recipes. Jan des Bouvrie was also prominently present during the trade fair. He presented his new line ‘Let’s Blender’. Jacques Brinkman, who is supplying the T14 hockey stick to be used by Teun de Nooijer and Naomi van As, also attracted attention with his stand.
Every day there was a performance from a well-known star of musicals assisted by Princess ambassador Tonny Eyk.
Princess Hotels
In addition to Princess’ products, the hotels in Seefeld and Phuket were also extensively highlighted. Hotel manager Jens Demetz, from Princess Hotel Residenz Bergfrieden, was also present to provide visitors with information. With the help of a scale model, Princess’ new development project involving luxury villas in Phuket was also on display at the fair.

Distributor of the Year
On Thursday 14 June, the Princess ‘Distributor of the Year’ award was presented by Joost Gielen, Vice President Corporate Affairs. This year’s title went to Yusuf Alghanim from Kuwait. Sam Rejoy and Roby Mathews were praised for successfully communicating the Princess philosophy in their country: Business is Entertainment. The trade fair came to a festive close with an unplugged mini concert by Belle Perez, Princess Entertainment Group’s pride and joy. Last week, it was announced that Belle Perez’ CD Gotitas De Amor had reached gold. This is the second time that Belle Perez has reached this prestigious level in the Netherlands (after Que Viva La Vida).
